Finally, my baby LaseMD has landed in the clinic, and I am like a child on Christmas morning. Allow me to take you back around 15-20 years when lasers were first used in our industry to change the skin's surface. We all heard about the benefits and saw the results of the CO2 ablative laser. However, due to the pain and long recovery time associated with this type of laser, it is not an option for many. Recovery time was quicker, but the early fractional lasers were still painful, led to crusting and peeling, and had downtime of about one week. This was an improvement over CO2 ablative lasers but was still not perfect.
